Overview:
The Cosmic Club Ambassador plays a vital role in bringing Cosmic Club—a hands-on, space-themed STEM outreach program—to life. You’ll deliver immersive sessions featuring model rocket launches, space-themed activities, and authentic space artifacts, designed to spark curiosity and inspire the next generation of scientists, engineers, and space explorers.

Key Responsibilities:
- Lead Program Delivery: Facilitate full Cosmic Club sessions such as:
Planet Party (Grades K–2): Engage kids with games, rocket launches, and creative activities like “Design a Planet” and artifact exploration
Astronaut Training Camp (Grades 3–5): Guide students through astronaut-style fitness, forces-of-flight stations, and collaborative rocket builds and launches
Flawless Flight Path (Grades 6–8): Support hands-on engineering challenges around rocket recovery systems, parachutes, and landing contests
- Ensure Safety & Logistics: Implement Estes-provided safety protocols and manage on-site logistics to ensure smooth, worry-free sessions.
- Educate & Inspire: Deliver educational content aligned with STEM standards, infusing enthusiasm and accessible explanations into every aspect of the session.
- Handle Artifacts & Activity Materials: Utilize space artifact replicas (e.g., lunar rocks, astronaut glove replicas, parachute material) to enhance engagement.
- Provide Exceptional Customer Experience: Maintain a professional presence that reflects Estes Education’s values—punctual, engaging, and courteous in all educator and family interactions.
Qualifications:
- Background: Experience in education, youth programming, science centers, museums, or informal STEM education.
- Skills: Strong public speaking, group management, and hands-on facilitation skills.
- STEM Knowledge: Familiarity with basic aerospace, rocketry, or space concepts preferred.
- Safety First: Ability to enforce safety protocols during model rocket demonstrations and launches.
