Job Summary
This is an essential role in maintaining a safe and sanitary kitchen environment. Ensure dishes, kitchen spaces, and self-serve bars (salad & hot bar) remain clean, stocked, and compliant with health code standards throughout service. Dishwashing and Ware Washing ● Salad bar & hot bar restocking and cleaning checks ● Kitchen cleaning tasks ● Maintaining sanitizer buckets to health code standards ● Receiving and putting away deliveries ● Sweeping/Moping ● Assist with trash removal and deep kitchen cleaning tasks as needed ● Other duties as assigned
Schedule: 9am to 2pm Tuesday through Saturday
Essential Functions:
- Reasonably open availability for days, evenings and weekends covering all store hours
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds repeatedly and to perform team lifts for items over 50 pounds
- Knowledge of food handling safety practices and sanitation procedures
- Ability to receive and understand written and verbal instructions
- Ability to work in a fast paced work environment with loud noises and varying indoor and outdoor temperatures
- Ability to stand, stoop, bend, crouch, lift, twist, walk, hear, see, climb ladders, lift arms above head with weighted items in hand, move boxes and product, fine finger motion for using equipment and placing items on shelves for duration of shift (up to 8 hours)
- Be knowledgeable of the chemicals used at each step of the cleaning process
- Ability to project friendly, outgoing professional personality
- Ability to Cooperate with customers, vendors, and other staff
- Familiarity with kitchen equipment, cleaning tools, and safety protocols essential for maintaining a sanitary environment
Reports to Kitchen Manager
Pay: $15.00 - $16.00 per hour
