Plymouth Spring Company located in Bristol, CT was founded in 1959. In 2021 the company was purchased by Lesjofors, a Swedish spring manufacturer. Lesjofors was founded in 1675 and is a market leading spring manufacturer with customers worldwide.
We are looking for a detail-oriented bookkeeping professional to join our accounting department. The applicant should have a minimum of 5 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment utilizing an ERP system to process accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll. The position will also perform occasional HR related tasks and provide backup for the CFO.
Responsibilities:
- Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and Payroll.
- Assign proper GL coding to AP invoices and record into ERP system.
- Prepare AP check runs.
- Process EOD AR invoicing.
- Process daily cash receipts of checks and ACH payments.
- Investigate and resolve both customer and vendor invoice discrepancies.
- Monitor outstanding AR balances and contact customers to collect past due accounts.
- Process weekly PR.
- Prepare commission reports.
- Assist with month end and year end closings, including General Ledger activity.
- Maintain accurate historical records and assist with audits.
Experience:
- Solid knowledge of accounts payable and accounts receivable a must
- Strong understanding of general accounting procedures.
- Payroll experience a plus.
- Experience with ERP systems, Epicor a plus.
- Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
