Job Description
A durable medical equipment (DME) delivery technician is responsible for delivering, setting up, and picking up medical equipment like wheelchairs and hospital beds, often in patients' homes. The role includes providing patient training on equipment use, performing minor repairs and maintenance, and maintaining detailed records.
Key responsibilities
Safely and efficiently deliver, set up, and install equipment such as wheelchairs, patient lifts, and hospital beds in homes.
Instruct patients, family members, and caregivers on how to properly and safely use the equipment.
Perform basic maintenance, cleaning, and troubleshooting on equipment to ensure it is in working order.
Maintain accurate logs of deliveries, service calls, and equipment status.
Interact with patients and families with empathy and professionalism and communicate effectively with healthcare providers and other team members.
Adhere to company policies and regulatory guidelines (like HIPAA)
Required qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver's license and a clean driving record must be submitted
- Ability to lift and move heavy equipment, sometimes exceeding 100 pounds
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
