Overview
We are seeking energetic and compassionate Direct Support Professionals to join our team. In this vital role, you will deliver personalized care and assistance to individuals with various disabilities, including developmental, cognitive, and physical challenges. Your dedication will help promote independence, safety, and well-being for those we serve, ensuring they receive respectful and high-quality support every day.
Duties
- Assist individuals with activities of daily living (ADLs), such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support using equipment like Hoyer lifts when necessary.
- Monitor patient health by taking vital signs, observing changes in condition, and reporting findings in accordance with HIPAA regulations and care plans.
- Support medication administration and ensure proper documentation following safety protocols.
- Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and assist with meal planning and preparation.
- Maintain a clean, safe environment by performing light housekeeping tasks including cleaning common areas and personal spaces.
- Observe residents for signs of dementia, Alzheimer’s, autism spectrum disorders, or other neurodevelopmental conditions; document observations accurately.
- Collaborate with team members to develop and implement personalized care plans that promote independence and quality of life.
Qualifications
- Prior experience working in group homes, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home health environments is highly preferred.
- Knowledge of patient observation techniques, medication administration, and vital signs monitoring.
- Experience with dementia care, Alzheimer’s care, memory care, or hospice care is a plus.
- Ability to assist with ADLs using manual handling techniques such as Hoyer lifts or other mobility aids.
- Strong communication skills for working effectively with individuals with disabilities or neurodevelopmental disorders.
- Certification in CPR and First Aid is required; additional certifications in HIPAA compliance or caregiving are advantageous.
- Physical ability to perform heavy lifting and manual handling tasks safely throughout the shift.

Pay: $25.00 - $28.00 per hour
