The Fayetteville Marksmen and Macon Mayhem are seeking an innovative and highly organized Director of Creative Services & Fan Experience to lead the creative vision and game presentation efforts for two professional hockey organizations.
This role is responsible for overseeing creative services, game presentation, and fan experience initiatives for both franchises. From producing compelling visual content to creating memorable game-night entertainment, the Director will play a key role in shaping how fans experience Marksmen and Mayhem hockey. Working alongside the Director of Social Media & Marketing, this position will support organizational marketing initiatives through creative production while leading a team responsible for delivering exceptional in-arena experiences.
Position Overview
The Director of Creative Services & Fan Experience will oversee the planning, development, and execution of creative assets, game presentation, and fan engagement initiatives for both the Fayetteville Marksmen and Macon Mayhem. This position will supervise two Game Presentation Coordinators and two Creative Services Interns while collaborating with departments across both organizations to produce high-quality creative content and elevate the overall fan experience.
Duties & Responsibilities

Lead the creative direction and production of visual assets supporting ticket sales, corporate partnerships, community relations, and organizational marketing initiatives.

Produce or oversee the creation of promotional videos, hype videos, motion graphics, video board content, print materials, sponsorship assets, and other creative projects.

Develop and maintain consistent brand standards while preserving the unique identity of both the Fayetteville Marksmen and Macon Mayhem.

Plan, execute, and continuously improve all aspects of game presentation and fan experience for both organizations.

Oversee in-game entertainment, including music programming, video board production, scripts, theme nights, on-ice promotions, contests, and sponsor activations.

Collaborate with the Director of Social Media & Marketing to support integrated marketing campaigns and organizational storytelling while providing creative assets as needed.

Recruit, train, mentor, and manage two Creative Services Interns and two Game Presentation Coordinators, fostering a culture of creativity, collaboration, and professional development.

Develop efficient creative workflows and manage multiple projects while ensuring deadlines are consistently met.

Capture and edit photography and video content for organizational initiatives and special events.

Travel occasionally to Macon, Georgia, to oversee creative projects and game presentation while ensuring consistency between both organizations.

Stay current on industry trends, emerging creative technologies, and best practices in sports entertainment to continually enhance the fan experience.

Represent the Fayetteville Marksmen and Macon Mayhem at community events, league functions, and other organizational initiatives as needed.
Essential Skills, Experience & Abilities

Minimum of 3-5+ years of progressive experience in creative services, sports marketing, game presentation, live event production, or a related field.

Demonstrated experience creating compelling graphic design, video, and motion graphic content with a strong creative portfolio.

Experience leading creative projects and managing staff, interns, or freelance creatives.

Strong understanding of branding, visual storytelling, and live sports entertainment.

Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud, including Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere Pro, and After Effects.

Experience with photography, videography, and video editing.

Excellent organizational, communication, and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities across two organizations.

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail and delivering high-quality work under tight deadlines.

Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, especially during the hockey season.

Ability to travel occasionally between Fayetteville, NC, and Macon, GA.
