Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled Endoscopy Technician / Scope Processor to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate is a dependable, positive team player with strong time management skills and a genuine commitment to patient-centered care.
This full-time position involves both assisting with endoscopic procedures (including colonoscopies and upper endoscopies) and performing high-level reprocessing of endoscopes. While most shifts include working alongside our clinical team, there will be occasions where you will work independently to process scopes and assist with procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist physicians and nursing staff during colonoscopies, endoscopies, and other GI procedures
- Perform thorough and compliant cleaning, reprocessing, and maintenance of endoscopes and related equipment
- Fill out pathology requisition forms
- Maintain a clean and safe procedural environment following infection control standards
- Support room turnover and equipment setup
- Collaborate with clinical staff to ensure smooth patient flow
- Occasionally work solo to manage scope processing and assist in procedures
- Demonstrate excellent communication, organization, and time management
- Assist recovery room nurse as needed
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of experience in scope processing and assisting with GI endoscopic procedures
- Knowledge of infection prevention, high-level disinfection, and endoscope reprocessing standards
- Strong teamwork skills with the ability to work independently when needed
- Reliable, detail-oriented, and committed to providing high-quality patient care
- Certification as a Gastroenterology Tech or Scope Processor is a plus (not required)
