Retina Care and Research, LLC is a growing retina exclusive traveling medical practice in Oregon, with offices in the Willamette Valley and Western Oregon. We are based out of the Eugene/ Springfield area.

This position is for Full Time (about 36-40) hours per week over a 4 day work week, very rare but occasional 5 day work weeks (the schedule varies between each week). This position requires traveling with the team in the company vehicle to other locations for work. Usually a Monday or Friday is off during each work week
We are happy to train! We prefer candidates with medical/healthcare experience. Specific Eye Tech experience is preferred but NOT required.
Primary job focus would be being an Ophthalmic Tech, which is a medical assistant in an ophthalmology/retina practice, working directly with an eye physician.
Typing, computer skills are a must. Attention to detail, willingness to learn, friendliness, enjoys a fast paced environment, and very high dependability are critical.
Other Responsibilities (we will train you!):
- Perform preliminary eye examinations and tests, including measuring visual acuity, and intraocular pressure.
-Perform work up tasks with patient intake, including obtaining medical history and chief complaint.
Prepare patients for ophthalmic procedures and assist ophthalmologist during examinations.
- Administer eye drops and medications as directed by the ophthalmologist.
- Perform diagnostic tests such as OCT and fundus photography, ERG, and FA- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records in electronic health record systems.
This job may also have a component of medical receptionist. There are days that you will be assigned to work front desk in our medical office. You must be flexible between Tech/Assistant work and front desk work on any given day depending on clinic needs.
Skills:
- Knowledge of EHRs and medical records/documentation standards.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.
- Excellent communication skills to interact with patients and healthcare professionals.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
