Our ideal Breakfast Attendant will have a positive attitude, be someone that enjoys working with the public, has great attention to detail, and is self motivated to complete tasks. We currently offer a complimentary breakfast 7 days a week and a full menu of hot food items Tuesday through Saturday. At our hotel, we host various groups of guests such as tour groups or large sports teams that may enjoy our breakfast as well.
The available shift is Tuesday through Saturday from 6am until 12pm.
Position Description:
- Coordinate food and supply preparation with cook and department manager.
- Take orders from guests and customers efficiently. Enter orders into POS system accurately.
- Communicate any special requests or other needs with kitchen staff.
- Set up and maintain cleanliness of breakfast dining area and food preparation areas.
- Bus and clean tables and supplies continuously throughout shift.
- Monitor the quality and consistency of all food served
- Prepare proper food quantities based on forecasted room counts
- Assist with other kitchen operations as needed and directed
- Prepare next day’s food quantities based on forecasted room counts
- Coordinate removal and proper storage of all food and decorations from breakfast area
- Maintain food at proper temperature
- Keep work area clean and organized
- Set up, restock and maintain food preparation areas
- Prepare foods in accordance with working menus and recipe cards
- Follow attendance policy by being on time for scheduled shifts, working scheduled shifts in full unless instructed otherwise by department supervisor, and providing notification to department supervisor as early as possible and preferably at least 2 hours prior to scheduled shifts if you are unable to work.
- Other duties as assigned or as needed to create Signature Moments for our guests.
Position Requisites:
- CA Food Handler’s Certification
- Previous food service experience preferred, preferably high volume, or fast food
- Knowledge in food preparation, presentation and portion control
- Basic PC skills and use of basic Point of Sale software
- Ability to stand/walk continuously for extended periods of time (6 to 8 Hours)
- Ability to Lift/Carry up to 40lbs and Push/Pull up to 100lbs.
- Demonstrated ability to multi-task and prioritize well to meet deadlines
- Behaves with integrity, honesty and is open with guests and fellow associates.
- Develops effective working relationship with fellow associates, managers, outside representatives and agencies.
