Whsl – Patty Maker
Job Summary:
The Wholesale Patty Maker is responsible for producing ground meat patties to customer specifications while ensuring strict compliance with USDA regulations, SQF food safety standards, and Just-In-Time (JIT) production requirements. This role requires attention to detail, adherence to food safety and sanitation standards, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced – temperate cooled wholesale production environment.
Key Responsibilities
· Form meat patties using automated or semi-automated patty-making equipment
· Verify product specifications including weight, size, and shape consistency
· Load grinders, patty machines, and conveyors with prepared meat
· Monitor equipment operation and report malfunctions or quality issues
· Package, label, and prepare patties for wholesale distribution
· Maintain accurate production counts and batch records
· Maintain proper temperature control and prevent cross-contamination
· Clean and sanitize patty machines, tools, and work areas
· Follow workplace safety, PPE, and lockout/tagout procedures
· Meet daily production quotas and efficiency targets
· Perform in-process quality checks including weights, seals, labeling accuracy, and package integrity
· Identify and segregate nonconforming product per USDA retention and hold procedures
· Support product recalls and mock recall exercises as required
Skills & Competencies
· Operation of patty-forming and meat-processing equipment
· Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and temperature control
· Ability to maintain consistent weights, shapes, and yields
· Basic math and recordkeeping skills
· Ability to work efficiently in a high-volume production environment
· Team-oriented, dependable, and detail-focused
Working Hours:
Early morning, day, evenings, weekends, and some holidays may be required.

· Prolonged standing and walking on production floors
· Frequent lifting, pushing, and pulling of meat products, typically up to 50–75 pounds

· Work in refrigerated and cold environments
· Exposure to machinery, noise, and wet or slippery surfaces
