We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Dental Assistant to join our dental practice. Minimum one year experience preferred.
Duties
- Assist the dentist during various procedures, ensuring that the necessary instruments and materials are readily available.
- Maintain accurate medical records and documentation for each patient visit, including medical history and treatment plans.
- Perform four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance efficiency during procedures.
- Take and develop dental X-rays while adhering to safety protocols.
- Monitor vital signs of patients before, during, and after procedures to ensure their comfort and safety.
- Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and setting up necessary equipment in accordance with aseptic techniques.
- Educate patients on post-operative care and oral hygiene practices to promote overall dental health.
- Support pediatric dentistry by creating a welcoming environment for young patients and assisting with child-specific procedures.
Skills
- Proficiency in medical documentation and record-keeping practices.
- Strong understanding of four-handed dentistry techniques to assist effectively during procedures.
- Ability to monitor vital signs accurately and respond appropriately to patient needs.
- Familiarity with aseptic techniques to maintain a sterile work environment.
- Competence in medical imaging, particularly X-ray procedures, ensuring compliance with safety standards.
- Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with patients, families, and team members.
