Position Description
BluCurrent is seeking a full-time Senior Member Services Representative to serve as a liaison between the member and the Credit Union in the lending department. Senior MSR’s will provide information and promote a full range of Credit Union products and services, including opening accounts for members, interviewing members for loan products, and professionally handling the member’s needs. Senior MSR’s will also provide a variety of transaction services to members including loan processing, closing, and disbursal.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform account interactions via various in person and electronic methods, to include but not limited to transactions, payments, inquiries, certificates of deposit, online banking, fraud claims, and BillPay. Process orders for checks and debit cards.
- Assist members with the loan process from start to finish, including gathering background information, and processing, funding, and inputting loans on the system for approval. Send denial notices, close loans, and transact deposits, withdrawals, advances, stop-payments, loan payments, etc.
- Represent the Credit Union in a courteous and professional manner and provide prompt, efficient, and accurate service in the processing of requests.
- Promote Credit Union products and services based on member needs obtained from member interviews and/or review of member’s account.
Requirements
- High school education or equivalent required. College preferred.
- At least two years of customer service experience required.
- Previous cash handling experience preferred.
- Professional, well-developed interpersonal skills necessary for servicing Credit Union members and projecting a positive image as representative for the Credit Union.
- Work requires sound decision-making skills with regard to carrying out specific rules, regulations, and procedures.
- Intermediate equipment skills required (telephone, fax machine, copy equipment, use of computer, system software, internet, electronic mail, spreadsheets, data processing, etc.)
Starting Rate: $18/hour
