Summary
Cedar Crest Academy is looking for a full-time Pre-Primary Educational Assistant who would be based at our Bellevue campus. This is a great role for someone who enjoys a new challenge and variation every day and the opportunity to get to know the Academy as a whole.
Responsibilities
- Supervise, nurture, and interact with all children in a safe, positive, and developmentally appropriate way.
- Maintain an organized, safe and clean classroom
- Prepare and serve snacks and lunch
- Support the teacher in delivering academic lessons and activities
- Assist the teacher by preparing resources for lessons and activities
- Step in for teacher at times to deliver lessons
- Work with the teacher in organizing and running class events and family outreach programs
- Work in a problem solving and productive manner with team and administration
- Create and develop professional partnerships with parents and team members
- Perform other related duties as required or requested and attending some events scheduled out of work hours
Qualifications
- 1+ years of consistent experience in a classroom setting
- AA in Early childhood preferred.
- Proof of work towards initial WA ECE certificates
- Able to lift 40lbs, kneel, crouch, and sit on the floor with ease
- Able to maintain WA state licensing requirements: CPR/First Aid, Food Handlers,
- Blood Borne Pathogens, Proof of MMR & TB, 30 hrs. basic training/10 hrs. yearly
- Experience with Microsoft products, email, child tracking platforms etc.
- Good verbal and written communication
- Developing Classroom management and organizational skills
