Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and provide exceptional customer service throughout their shopping experience
- Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems accurately to process sales, returns, and exchanges
- Stock cooler sections efficiently, ensuring products are fresh, organized, and visually appealing
- Upsell relevant products to enhance customer satisfaction and store sales
- Maintain proper cash handling procedures and ensure register accuracy at all times
- Support merchandising efforts by arranging displays and ensuring shelves are fully stocked and tidy
- Follow phone etiquette standards when assisting customers over the phone or via online inquiries
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth store operations and a welcoming environment
Skills
- Proven experience with POS systems and cash handling procedures in a retail or grocery store setting
- Supervising experience is a plus, demonstrating leadership in team environments
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to perform basic math quickly and accurately for transactions and inventory counts
- Knowledge of merchandising, stocking, and retail sales techniques
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, approachable demeanor
- Familiarity with grocery store operations and product presentation standards
- Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining attention to detail
- Professional phone etiquette when interacting with customers or vendors over the phone
