Job Summary:
The Shop Mechanic will be responsible for the inspection, maintenance, and repair of equipment, machinery, and tools used in field operations.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
· None.
Duties & Responsibilities:
· Conducts routine inspections, troubleshoot mechanical issues, and identify necessary repairs for equipment such as pumps, engines, compressors, valves, and hydraulic systems.
· Performs preventive maintenance and timely repairs on mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems to reduce downtime.
· Dismantles, repairs, and reassembles components of heavy equipment, engines, and machinery.
· Adheres to company safety policies and industry regulations, ensuring all equipment is maintained to meet safety standards.
· Orders and maintains an inventory of parts, tools, and supplies needed for repairs and maintenance.
· Maintains accurate service records, maintenance logs, and inspection reports for all work performed.
· Works closely with engineers, operators, and other mechanics to support operational needs and resolve equipment issues promptly.
· Performs other duties as assigned.

Education & Experience:
· High school diploma or GED required; technical or vocational training in mechanics, automotive, or industrial maintenance preferred.
· Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience as a mechanic, preferably in the oil and gas, heavy equipment, or industrial sector.
Physical Requirements:
· Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
· Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
