Lead Coach — Role & Responsibilities
Overview
The Lead Coach is the floor leader for the coaching team — mentoring coaches, upholding brand standards, and ensuring a five-star class experience every session. They set the tone through energy, technical skill, and community-building, and report key updates to the Studio Manager and owners. They also recruit, hire, and onboard new coaches to brand standard. Our lead coach will also begin to learn the operational and managerial processes since our brand is growing rapidly and will expand to multiple locations within the city.
Key Responsibilities
- Model the five-star coaching standard in every class
- Recruit, hire, and onboard new coaches
- Run quarterly evaluations and 1:1s with coaching staff
- Participate in ongoing training/development (workshops, education modules)
- Host monthly staff meetings with the Studio Manager and ownership group
Qualifications
- Prior group fitness/coaching leadership preferred
- Nationally recognized certification (NASM, ACE, ACSM, ISSA, or equivalent)
- CPR/AED certified
- Strong communication, leadership, and teaching skills with ability to sell themselves and the brand to coaches and prospective members
- Embodies AFC's culture and values
- Highly organized and self starting

Pay: $27.00 - $55.00 per hour
