- Position: Registered Nurse (RN) – Weekend Field Nurse
- Location: Battle Creek, Michigan
- Contract Length: 13 Weeks
- Start Date: ASAP
- Schedule: Saturday & Sunday
- Shift: 7:00 AM – 11:00 PM
- Guaranteed Hours: 40 Hours per Week
- Weekly Gross Pay: $1,900 to $2,000
- Mileage Reimbursement: IRS Mileage Rate
Responsibilities
- Perform in-person patient assessments to determine appropriate levels of care
- Complete comprehensive home visits and full-body nursing assessments
- Provide wound care, IV hydration, lab draws, medication-related care, and other skilled nursing services
- Respond promptly to calls from providers, triage staff, and support teams
- Document all patient interactions, assessments, and follow-up activities in the EMR
- Educate patients, families, caregivers, and facility staff
- Coordinate care with physicians, pharmacies, home care teams, skilled nursing facilities, assisted living facilities, and other healthcare partners
- Initiate emergency treatment when necessary
- Report and document falls, medication errors, incidents, grievances, and quality-related events
- Participate in quality improvement activities, staff meetings, and ongoing training programs
Requirements
- Active RN License
- Associate Degree in Nursing required; BSN preferred
- Minimum 1 year of RN experience
- Experience with geriatric, long-term care, home health, hospice, or wound care patients preferred
- Current AHA BLS/CPR Certification
- Strong assessment, critical thinking, and documentation skills
- Experience working independently in the field preferred
- Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and active auto insurance required
- Must meet facility vaccination and health screening requirements
Preferred Experience

- Hospice RN experience
- Wound Care experience
- Experience caring for frail or elderly populations
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Field RN, Home Health RN, Hospice RN, or Wound Care RN seeking a weekend travel contract in Battle Creek, Michigan with 40 guaranteed hours, mileage reimbursement, and weekly gross pay up to $1,900 to $2,000.
Pay: $1,900.00 - $2,000.00 per week
