PRIMARY FUNCTIONS:
The HR Assistant provides administrative and operational support to the Human Resources department, assisting with a wide range of activities including recruiting, HR reporting, benefit, and general HR administration. This position is crucial for ensuring the smooth day-to-day operations of the HR function and supporting both employees and management.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Recruiting
- Proactively source candidates using various job boards.
- Review resumes and conducts initial phone or video interviews to assess qualifications and cultural fit.
- Schedule and coordinate interviews between candidates and hiring managers.
- Initiate necessary pre-employment checks in accordance with company policies and procedures.
Projects & Cross-functional Collaboration
- Collaborate with teams to communicate and implement HR initiatives.
- Maintain some level of HRIS database
- Provide support to HR team members as needed.
- Support with the annual performance review process.
- Manage HR correspondence, files, and documentation.
- Perform other duties and assignments as needed.
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
- 1+ year experience as an HR Assistant or in a similar HR/administrative role.
- 1-2 years’ experience in recruitment, high volume experience is preferred.
- Benefit administration experience is a plus.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Highly computer literate with capability in email, MS Office and related business and communication tools.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to accurately follow instructions.
- Experience using HRIS systems, preferably with Workday.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
- Bilingual Chinese Mandarin is highly preferred.
EDUCATION AND/OR TRAINING:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required. Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred.

Pay Range:
- $20 - $25 per hour depending on experience.
Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
