Duties
- Perform comprehensive diagnostics and troubleshooting of HVAC/R systems, including refrigeration, boilers, air conditioning units, and mechanical systems using schematics and electrical diagnostics tools like ohmmeters.
- Install, repair, and maintain HVAC equipment such as ductwork, thermostats, building automation systems, electrical systems, and plumbing components to ensure system reliability and efficiency.
- Conduct routine maintenance on HVAC systems to prevent breakdowns and extend equipment lifespan while adhering to safety standards and EPA regulations.
- Read and interpret schematics, technical manuals, and design plans related to HVAC system installation and repair projects.
- Collaborate with property maintenance teams to address building system issues promptly and efficiently.
- Utilize hand tools, electrical testing devices, and mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot complex problems across various mechanical systems.
- Provide excellent customer service by explaining repairs clearly, offering maintenance tips, and ensuring client satisfaction during every interaction.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as an HVAC service technician or in a related mechanical or construction role with strong knowledge of HVAC/R systems.
- Hands-on experience with HVAC system repair, installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting using schematics and technical diagrams.
- Mechanical knowledge encompassing refrigeration, boilers, air conditioning units, plumbing systems, electrical diagnostics, building automation systems, and property maintenance.
- Ability to operate hand tools effectively along with diagnostic equipment such as ohmmeters for electrical troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with HVAC design principles and the ability to read technical schematics accurately.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; experience driving commercial vehicles preferred.
- Certifications such as EPA refrigerant handling certification are required; additional certifications in electrical systems or boiler operation are a plus.
- Strong customer service skills combined with mechanical expertise to deliver professional solutions efficiently.

Pay: $35.00 - $45.00 per hour
