Job Summary: We are seeking a compassionate and reliable Residential Aide to provide support and assistance to residents in a residential facility. The Residential Aide will be responsible for ensuring the safety and well-being of residents, assisting with daily living activities, and maintaining a clean and organized living environment.
Responsibilities:
- Assist residents with daily living activities, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Monitor residents' health and well-being, and report any changes to the Administrator or staff designee.
- Administer medications and treatments as directed by healthcare professionals
- Assist with meal preparation and feeding, and ensure that residents are receiving proper nutrition
- Provide emotional support and companionship to residents
- Assist with housekeeping duties, such as laundry, cleaning, and organizing
- Ensure that the living environment is safe and comfortable for residents
- Document and maintain accurate records of residents' care and activities
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience working with elderly or disabled individuals preferred
- Ability to communicate effectively with residents, families, and staff members
- Compassionate and patient demeanor
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Basic computer skills
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
Working Conditions:
The Residential Aide will work in a residential facility, which may include working evenings, weekends, and holidays. The work environment may be physically demanding, and the Residential Aide may be required to lift heavy objects and assist with transferring residents.
Salary: The salary for this position will be commensurate with experience and qualifications.
