American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Cardiac Telemetry position requiring Epic EMR proficiency and post-surgical cardiovascular patient care experience.

Cardiac Telemetry unit within a hospital setting
-
Patient population includes diagnoses such as CAD s/p CABG, cardiac valve repair, lung cancer s/p VATS, and esophageal cancer
-
Experience with post-surgical cardiovascular patients required
-
Cardiac drips and insulin drip management are part of regular practice
-
Omnicell medication dispensing system in use
-
Epic EMR is used; minimum 1 year of experience required
-
Night shift: 3x12 or 4x12-hour shifts, 19:00–07:30
-
Every other weekend coverage required, subject to change based on unit needs
-
Floating to other units and/or campuses may be required based on census needs, limited to units and tasks within demonstrated competencies
-
13-week contract with a 26-week extension option

Active SC RN license or compact RN license currently in hand

Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)

Minimum 1 year of recent Cardiac Telemetry unit experience required

First-time travelers must have a minimum of 3 years of specialty experience

Minimum 1 year of Epic EMR experience required

Must pass an EKG exam prior to start

Cardiac drips and insulin drip experience required

Two professional references required for consideration

Driver's license and Social Security Number required for consideration

Candidates must reside at least 50 miles from the contracted campus to be eligible for this night shift Cardiac Telemetry position; candidates under 50 miles are ineligible

Candidates residing 90–99.9 miles from any Prisma Health facility may be considered under modified terms; 100+ miles qualifies for standard travel rates
-
Float assignments will only involve units and tasks for which competency has already been demonstrated and documented
