JOB SUMMARY:
Administrative Responsibilities:
-
Reviewing, budget verification, cost coding, and processing of vendors’ material invoices, and general contractor and subcontractor progress payments

Reviewing contractor’s CPM and 3-Week look ahead schedules and tracking construction progress and adherence therein.

Managing material submittal packages from contractors to consultants, architects, and engineers for review and approval.

Managing Requests for Information from contractors to consultants, architects, and engineers through resolution and closure.

Reviewing project plans and specifications, and applicable governmental and utility company standards.

Performing quantity takeoffs and assisting the Project Manager and Executive Vice President with calculation of project budgets.

Producing, collecting and filing daily reports including but not limited to Daily BMP reports, Daily Diaries, Time and Material summaries, and testing documentation.

Assist the Project Manager with obtaining project permits and permit renewals.
Field-Oriented Responsibilities:
-
Conducting daily visits to project sites to observe construction activities and performing Quality Control for HCMG self-performed projects and performing Quality Assurance on projects where HCMG is the Construction Manager to ensure compliance with project plans and specifications.

Observing and managing Best Management Plan installation and maintenance activities to ensure compliance with NPDES permits and project specific Erosion Control requirements.

Provide support as needed to Haseko Health, Safety, and Environmental Officers and Coordinators.

Conducting pre-final and final inspections and documenting findings and punchlist work for acceptance of constructed work and project dedication.

Other related duties as assigned by the Executive Vice President, Site Development.

Proficient in electronic, digital, and computer-based technology and equipment.

Proficient in Microsoft Office programs, Bluebeam, and other industry related, company distributed, or HHI proprietary software.
Education, Certification, and Experience Qualifications:
-
The minimum required education level is a Bachelor of Science Degree in engineering, construction management, or related field.

The minimum required job experience level is three (3) years in construction employed by a contractor, developer, or construction management firm.

Computer and software experience should include knowledge of and experience with Microsoft Office programs, PDF’s, CAD, Bluebeam, and scheduling software (e.g., MS Project).

Valid State of Hawaii Driver’s License is mandatory.
-
Hawaii Professional Engineer’s (“PE”) License is a plus.
-
Safety certifications including First Aid/CPR/AED, and OSHA 30 are a plus.

Physically able to conduct daily field inspections on multiple construction projects under reasonable weather conditions via walking and/or driving, and carry equipment as needed.

Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk, working on a computer, or using electronic or digital equipment.
-
Must be able to lift or carry up to twenty-five (25) pounds at a time.
-
Must be able to wear industry standard Personal Protective Equipment (“PPE”).
