JOB DESCRIPTION
We are currently seeking qualified candidates to join our Fleet Maintenance team as a Fleet Diesel Mechanic at our Paducah, KY facility, located off I-24 at Exit 3, Cairo Rd.
Multiple Shifts Available:
- Sunday-Thursday 12pm-9pm (overtime opportunities)
- Sunday-Friday (Overnight) 9pm-6am (overtime opportunities)
- Monday-Friday 5am-2pm (overtime opportunities)
JOB DUTIES | What Exactly Will I Be Doing?
- Perform routine vehicle maintenance to fleet and DOT standards on heavy highway equipment (Commercial Motor Vehicles).
- Diagnose and perform repairs to completion vehicle and equipment repair.
- Removes, cleans, repairs, reinstalls, and adjusts vehicle components.
- Selects appropriate course of action for repairs.
- Evaluates completed work prior to release – seeks supervisor approval where required.
- Ensures safe use of power and hand-held tools.
- Move vehicles safely between job and work area.
- Communicates professionally with drivers, fellow team members, and supervisors.
- Actively participates in safety or educational training as required.
- Continuous ASE re-certification is required to remain in job classification.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS | The Must Haves
Education, Experience & Skills Required:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Must have or be willing to train for ASE
- Technical training preferred
- DOT Certification preferred
- OEM Certifications preferred (Cummins, International, Mack)
- CDL Operator’s license preferred, but not required
- At least 1 year of industry experience preferred
PAY
Pay ranges from $25-40 per hour based on qualifications and experience with overtime opportunities available
