Job Summary:
The hair stylist/colorist is responsible for providing quality, professional service in the administration of hair
care for the guests of the Spa. The hair stylist/colorist is also responsible for ensuring guest satisfaction and
providing exemplary guest service.
Qualification Standards:
Education and Experience:
- High School diploma or equivalent required.
- Must have at least 1 year of previous education or experience in the hair care and/or salon industry.
- Current State Cosmetology license required.
- Must have strong communication skills.
- Knowledge of styling, cutting, and coloring required.
- Knowledge of basic massage techniques and make-up desired.
- Maintain current licenses and certifications as required.
Physical Requirements:
- Flexible and long hours sometimes required.
- Light work – Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 pounds of force
frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.
- Must be able to stand and exert well-paced activity for a minimum of 6 hours in length. Walking and standing are required.

Duties & Functions:
Essential:
Approach all encounters with guests and employees in an attentive, friendly, courteous and service-oriented manner.
- Maintain regular attendance in compliance with standards, as required by scheduling which will vary according to the needs of the resort and Spa.
- Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming, which include wearing the proper uniform and name tag when working.
- Comply at all times with the Spa standards and regulations to encourage safe and efficient resort and spa operations.
- Maintain a warm and friendly demeanor at all times.
- Ensure overall guest satisfaction.
- Assist with retail sales.
- Ensure that salon appointments are booked correctly.
- Maintain department standards according to State Board regulations
- Maintain inventory and complete treatment sheets for spa records.
- Provide nail services at an exemplary level
•Serve guests in a timely manner while practicing proper service standards.
- Clean, maintain, and organize all sections of the salon.
- Participate in monthly department meetings
•Perform other duties and required by management.
