Adjunct faculty are hired on a semester-by-semester basis to support the College’s academic mission through quality instruction, student engagement, and academic excellence.
Courses may be offered in-person, online, or in a hybrid format, depending on departmental needs.
Adjunct teaching opportunities may be available in the following subject areas:
Biology
Physics
Exercise Science
Psychology
Chemistry
Nursing
Kinesiology
General Science
Adjunct faculty responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Teach assigned courses in accordance with approved course syllabi and learning outcomes
Develop and deliver engaging instruction that supports student success
Maintain a classroom environment conducive to learning
Provide timely evaluation and feedback on student assignments and assessments
Maintain accurate records of attendance, grades, and course documentation
Submit final grades by published deadlines
Communicate regularly with students and respond to inquiries in a timely manner
Utilize the College’s learning management system (LMS) and instructional technology as required
Maintain professionalism and comply with College policies and procedures
Participate in required training, orientation, and meetings as applicable
Master’s degree in the discipline or a closely related field from an accredited institution
Ability to teach at the college level with strong communication skills
Commitment to supporting diverse learners and maintaining academic standards
Prior teaching experience in higher education
Experience teaching online or hybrid courses
Professional experience in the discipline area
Experience using an LMS (Canvas, Blackboard, Moodle, etc.)
Doctorate in the discipline or related field (where applicable)
