Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and reliable Non CDL Driver to operate a 26-foot box truck, delivering goods efficiently and safely to various locations. Responsibilities
- Safely operate a 26-foot box truck across designated routes, ensuring timely deliveries and pickups
- Load and unload cargo using manual handling techniques, pallet jacks, or forklifts when necessary, following safe lifting practices
- Verify delivery details, obtain signatures, and complete necessary documentation accurately
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance with DOT regulations
- Assist with warehouse activities such as moving goods, organizing inventory, and maintaining cleanliness in the work area
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers to coordinate delivery schedules and resolve any issues promptly
- Follow all traffic laws, route plans, and safety protocols during driving operations
Experience
- Previous delivery driver experience with box trucks or similar vehicles preferred
- Warehouse experience involving manual handling, load & unload procedures, and heavy lifting
- Familiarity with commercial driving regulations, including DOT compliance and weight handling in the workplace
- Experience operating forklifts or pallet jacks is a plus but not required; training will be provided if needed
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to interact professionally with clients during deliveries
- Knowledge of safe lifting practices and heavy lifting techniques to prevent injuries during cargo handling
- Valid driver’s license suitable for non-CDL driving with a clean driving record
