Role is located in Houston, TX and surrounding areas.
Accountable for leading and directing 15 restaurants for a defined territory. Responsible for leading, coaching and directing District Managers and Restaurant General Managers in support of division strategic plan and company core values. Responsible for ensuring defined territory meets or exceeds operational standards, and adheres to systems, policies, and procedures. Accountable for the growth and development of Area Manager/RGM’s/Store Leaders and building a talent pipeline within defined territory.
Span of Control:
Director of Operations role will manage top line sales. Total store count will average 15 locations/units within a geography that may include multiple cities and states.
Objectives of this Role:
Accountable for leading multi-unit restaurant operations leadership in driving same store sales and Operational goals in alignment with the company strategic plan. Partners with operations leadership to define territory budget and sales goals; aligns with above restaurant leadership on execution of such plans. Coaches Area Managers on Profit and Loss statements; provides guidance and corrective action on labor, food, waste, and other controllable measures on a periodic basis. Provides coaching to Area Managers and Restaurant General Managers on inventory control, local store marketing, on premise and off premise order production and delivery in support of sales growth and the strategic plan. Responsible for territory reporting and administrative processes.
- Collaborate with senior managers in the development of performance goals and long-term operational plans
- Maximize efficiency and productivity through extensive process analysis and multi-location collaboration
- Set strategic goals for operational efficiency and increased productivity
- Work with finance and operational leaders in the development of financial and budgetary plans
- Analyze current operational processes and performance, recommending solutions for improvement where necessary
Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and monitor day-to-day operations both systems and processes to provide visibility into the goals, progress, and obstacles of key initiatives
- Draw on relationships with peers, corporate leaders, your leaders, team members, and vendors to make decisions regarding operational activity and strategic goals
- Plan, monitor, and analyze key metrics for day-to-day operations to ensure efficient and timely completion of tasks
- Adhere to the company’s policies and standards, and ensure that laws and regulations are being followed
- Work closely with leaders in and out of your assigned locations to lead the team with integrity and to establish and maintain a trusting, inclusive, and productive environment
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Seven or more years in a senior leadership role in restaurant operations and field based multi-unit industry
- Masterful organizational, communication, and leadership skills, backed by previous professional success
- Superior knowledge of multiple operational functions and principles, including finance, customer service, production, and team member management
- Proven ability to plan and manage operational processes for maximum efficiency and productivity
- Ability to streamline or implement structures and roles that boost speed and efficiency while supporting rapidly shifting business demands
- Strong working knowledge of industry regulations and legal guidelines
Preferred Skills and Qualifications:
- Experience in developing budgets and business plans
- Superior negotiation skills for both internal and external purposes
- Strong working knowledge of data analysis and performance metrics, using business management software (ex: Smartsheets, ERP, restaurant brands).
- Professional Experience 2 years restaurant multi-unit Management Experience; 5 year in a Director of Opeartions role or equivalent experience and education.
Compensation: Base salary will range from $90,000 annual to $100,000 annual depending on experience.
Bonus will range from 16 % to 25% of base pay annually, with an average payout of 20% of base pay annually.
