Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Education, Special Education, or Visual Impairments, active Teacher of the Visually Impaired certification and 1+ years Teacher of the Visually Impaired experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

This is an onsite, contract opportunity beginning in September 2026 and ending in June 2027, with both full-time and part-time options available.
In this role, you’ll have the chance to make a real difference by providing direct and consultative services for students with visual impairments. Your knowledge will support access to curriculum, adaptive technology, and specialized resources within an environment that values collaboration and educational growth.
Desired Qualifications:
- Valid Massachusetts DOE License as a Teacher for the Visually Impaired
- MTELs successfully completed
- Experience working with K-12 students preferred
- Strong communication, organizational, and advocacy skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively with educational teams, families, and specialists
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver tailored instruction to visually impaired students, individually and in groups
- Develop and implement IEP goals while tracking progress
- Consult with staff and parents to promote student inclusion and success
- Recommend and support the use of assistive technologies and accessible materials
- Assess and adapt classroom environments to meet student needs
- Participate in team meetings, training, and ongoing professional development
