Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Safety First: Maintain a strong commitment to workplace safety by following all company safety policies, procedures, and regulations at all times.

Preventative Maintenance & Repairs: Perform routine inspections, preventative maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on heavy equipment, trucks, trailers, and fleet vehicles.

Field Service Support: Travel to construction job sites and field locations to perform equipment repairs and maintenance as needed.

Diagnostics & Troubleshooting: Identify mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and operational issues and efficiently troubleshoot equipment failures.

Equipment & Tool Operation: Safely operate diagnostic equipment, hand tools, power tools, and shop equipment required for repairs and maintenance.

Team Collaboration: Work closely with fellow mechanics, operators, and supervisors to complete repairs and minimize equipment downtime.

Physical Requirements: Frequently lift, carry, push, and pull materials or equipment weighing up to 75 pounds.

Attendance & Dependability: Maintain consistent attendance, punctuality, and reliability to support operational needs.

Overtime & Travel: Be available for overtime, after-hours calls, and occasional overnight travel as business needs require.
Minimum Qualifications

High school diploma or GED equivalent required

Class A CDL with valid Medical Card, or the ability to obtain within an approved timeframe

2–3 years of experience as a heavy equipment mechanic, diesel mechanic, or fleet mechanic preferred

Strong mechanical aptitude with knowledge of heavy equipment systems and repair procedures

Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment

Working Conditions

Work is primarily performed in a temperature-controlled mechanic shop environment

Occasional outdoor work may be required during field service calls and roadside repairs in varying weather conditions

Regular exposure to dust, noise, grease, vibration, and hazardous materials may occur

Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is required and provided by the company
