We are seeking a friendly, organized, and detail-oriented Front Desk Receptionist to join our vision care team. Responsibilities
- Greet patients warmly and assist with check-in and check-out procedures using Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems.
- Schedule and confirm appointments while coordinating with providers to maintain efficient office flow.
- Verify insurance eligibility and process vision and medical insurance information, including Medicare and Medicaid when applicable.
- Collect and update patient demographics, medical history, and documentation accurately.
- Answer multi-line phone systems professionally, respond to patient inquiries, and direct calls appropriately.
- Assist patients with eyewear orders, appointment reminders, and general front desk support.
- Maintain organized patient records and ensure compliance with HIPAA and confidentiality standards.
- Support billing and payment collection processes, including reviewing coding and insurance information when needed.
- Perform clerical duties such as filing, scanning, faxing, data entry, and managing office correspondence.
- Collaborate with doctors and clinical staff to ensure smooth patient flow and excellent patient care.
Requirements
- Previous experience in vision front office setting required.
- Knowledge of insurance verification, HIPAA regulations, and medical office procedures.
- Excellent communication, customer service, and phone etiquette skills.
- Ability to multitask efficiently and remain organized in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy with patient information and scheduling.
- Bilingual skills are a plus.
