Job Summary
Pickle Alley is seeking a creative, organized, and self-motivated Events & Social Media Coordinator to help grow our community through engaging programming and consistent marketing.
This position is responsible for developing event ideas, coordinating event planning, maintaining the club's event calendar, promoting events through social media and other marketing channels, and ensuring staff are informed of upcoming programming. Event-day operations are primarily handled by our existing team, allowing this role to focus on planning, organization, marketing, and community engagement.
This is a part-time position requiring approximately 16–24 hours per week. While occasional evenings or weekends may be requested for content creation or special events, most work can be completed during regular business hours.
Responsibilities
- Develop creative event concepts that increase member engagement and attract new players.
- Plan and coordinate club programming, including tournaments, leagues, clinics, social events, and private events.
- Build and maintain the club's event calendar in coordination with management.
- Coordinate event logistics prior to launch, including scheduling, registration setup, promotional materials, and internal communication.
- Ensure management and staff are informed of upcoming events, timelines, and programming needs.
- Create marketing plans for events to maximize attendance and participation.
- Design and publish engaging content across social media platforms promoting events, memberships, leagues, clinics, and club activities.
- Maintain a consistent content calendar and posting schedule.
- Capture photos and videos during select events for future marketing content.
- Monitor social media engagement and respond to comments and messages as appropriate.
- Coordinate with community partners, sponsors, and vendors when applicable.
- Track event participation and social media performance, providing recommendations for future programming.
- Identify opportunities to improve member engagement, community involvement, and the overall club experience.
- Take ownership of assigned projects from concept through completion.
Qualifications
- Experience in event planning, marketing, hospitality, community engagement, or a related field.
- Experience managing social media for a business or organization.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Experience with Canva or similar design software.
- Experience creating engaging photo and video content for social media.
- Self-motivated, dependable, and detail-oriented.
- Comfortable working independently while collaborating with a team.
- Passion for sports, fitness, hospitality, or community-building is a plus.

Pickle Alley is a growing startup. As with any startup, priorities, responsibilities, and projects will evolve as the business grows. Team members are expected to be adaptable, willing to learn, and contribute wherever needed to support the success of the club.
While this position has primary areas of responsibility, no job description can anticipate every need of a growing business. Employees are expected to perform other duties and special projects as assigned that are reasonably related to the operation of the business.
Compensation
- Part-time (approximately 16–24 hours per week)
- Hourly compensation based on experience.
- Opportunity for performance-based incentives, including commission opportunities for originating and securing qualified large private events and corporate bookings.
- Flexible schedule with occasional evening or weekend availability for content creation or special events.
