Overview:
Reporting to the Production Shift Supervisor, the Trimmer is responsible for trimming, flaming, finishing plastic parts and sorting/counting order qauntities.
3rd Shift Hours (10pm- 6am, Sunday - Thursday)

Responsibilities:
- Trim excess plastic from parting lines.
-
Inspect product and communicate findings back to the machine operators.
-
Assemble product in accordance with the specific work instructions.
-
Data entry and basic computer functions.
-
Select correct hand tooling for the job task with setup documents or supervisor/lead assistance.
- Perform assigned work to time standards and quality expectations.
-
Account for time and work completed via online computer data collection system.
-
Make routine decisions and use problem solving to resolve basic manufacturing issues or seek assistance.
- Report and document basic material, production and quality control issues.
- Maintain performance log books on assigned area equipment, report deficiencies to the maintenance team.

Participate in equipment preventative maintenance at the operator level.

Ensure compliance with corporate and plant safety standards.

Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- A High School diploma or GED Equivalent is preferred.

Previous experience working within a highly technical environment.

Strong orientation towards quality, safety and continuous improvement.
Job Expectations:
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, bend, twist, and transport product and materials short distances.

Basic understanding of computers and ability to perform computer functions as they pertain to the job.

Ability to work collaboratively and productively in a team-environment.

Ability to work safely and without injury with hand tools in an environment with metal and sharp objects.

Must have strong metal grinding, forming and basic fabrication background.

Ability to read and interpret documents such as blueprints, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure online manuals.

Demonstrated detail orientation, self motivation skills and ability to multi-task.

Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively in both verbal and written formats.

Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Competent at basic dimensional measuring and able to quickly learn the use of precision measurement tools.

Demonstrated competency in basic shop math.

Basic ability to read and understand blueprints and other shop drawing aids.

Ability to work with various types of metal forming constraints with guidance.

Previous experience with overhead crane use is desired.

Demonstrated ability to effectively implement or respond to change.

Work in an efficient and timely manner.

Aptitude to take orders and execute the same efficiently.

Demonstrated detail orientation, self motivation skills and ability to multi-task.
