Job Summary:
The Purchasing Coordinator is responsible for the purchase of consumable and non-consumable tools and products for the Maintenance department, as well as Dispatch support.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
Duties/Responsibilities:

Research and purchase consumable and non-consumable tools and products in support of maintenance services

Establish and maintain working relationships with vendors, suppliers, manufacturers and account representatives

Regularly audit supplier performance for competitive pricing, and reliable delivery

Coordinate procurement activities within Resident Services

Maintain designated inventory control systems, including Purchase Order processes, BarCloud and physical inventories across multiple shops and facilities

Conduct physical inventory audits and reconciliations

Research and resolve invoice discrepancies

Provide backup support for Dispatch during absences and busy periods as needed and directed

Coordinate Appliance warranty support and service requests with manufacturers and distributors

Assist with activation, maintenance and deactivation of company responsible utility accounts

Resolve purchasing, shipment and product quality issues to minimize operation disruptions

Collaborate with other departments to support organizational needs

Ability to perform duties in accordance with Safety and OSHA requirements

Education and Experience:

Associate or Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting preferred

Inventory control, purchasing or account reconciliation experience preferred

Prior experience with BarCloud, MS Excel Spreadsheets or Entrata preferred

Working knowledge of residential maintenance services/taskings preferred
Physical Requirements:

Must have adequate sight and hearing to properly interpret data, operate office equipment, complete record keeping

Must be able to observe details at close range and/or identify objects, people at a distance.
