We are seeking reliable and detail-oriented Warehouse Associates to support daily warehouse operations for a Marine Distribution warehouse in the St. Paul area. Candidates hired for this position will work within the warehouse and may be assigned to either the Shipping Department or the Receiving Department based on experience and business needs.
Employees in the Shipping Department will primarily focus on accurately picking, packing, and preparing orders for shipment. Employees in the Receiving Department will focus on receiving, unpacking, verifying, and stocking incoming merchandise and supplies. Both departments play a key role in maintaining inventory accuracy and a clean, safe work environment.
Schedule:
- Monday – Friday
- Start time: 9:30 AM
- $19/hour with potential for overtime
- End time varies based on workload (work until completion)
- Overtime possible, especially during peak season
Key Responsibilities:
- Pick, pack, prepare, receive, inspect, and stock inventory as assigned
- Utilize a cherry picker and/or forklift to move, pull, and stock materials
- Verify order accuracy, shipment details, and incoming deliveries
- Label, stage, organize, and maintain inventory throughout the warehouse
- Perform inventory checks and assist with cycle counts
- Inspect products for damage or defects prior to shipment or storage
- Load, unload, lift, and move materials throughout the warehouse
- Keep work areas clean and follow all safety protocols
- Assist team members and support overall warehouse operations as needed
Qualifications & Skills:
- Experience with shipping, receiving, picking, packing, or order fulfillment preferred
- 2+ years of cherry picker and/or forklift experience preferred
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, productivity-driven environment
- Team player with strong communication skills
- Basic computer skills or experience using warehouse systems/RF scanners is a plus
- Must have reliable transportation to and from work daily
- Must have steel toe or composite toe boots
Education & Experience:
- High school diploma or GED required
- 2–4 years of warehouse or order fulfillment experience preferred
Work Environment:
- Warehouse setting with frequent standing, walking, bending, and lifting
- May be required to lift up to 50 lbs
- Use of warehouse equipment such as cherry pickers, forklifts, pallet jacks, or scanners may be required
- Must have steel toe or composite toe boots
