Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain comprehensive dashboards and reports using tools like Tableau, Power BI, Looker, and other reporting platforms to visualize key metrics effectively.
- Design, implement, and optimize ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes to ensure accurate and timely data flow across SQL databases such as Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, and SQL-based systems.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements through analysis and translate them into scalable data models and database designs that support business intelligence needs.
- Conduct detailed data analysis using R, Python, Excel data analysis techniques, and other analytics tools to identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities for process improvements.
- Support the entire Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) by participating in requirements analysis, testing, deployment, and maintenance of analytics solutions within Agile project management frameworks.
- Manage query development and optimization in SQL databases while ensuring best practices in query management and database security.
- Contribute to the integration of linked data sources and develop comprehensive reports that support strategic business analysis.
- Assist in dashboard development projects by creating visually engaging visualizations that communicate insights clearly to stakeholders at all levels.
- Engage in technical proficiency activities such as scripting with VBA, Bash (Unix shell), Talend for data integration tasks, and Visio for process mapping.
Requirements
- Proven experience with business intelligence tools such as Tableau, Power BI, Looker or similar platforms for reporting and dashboarding.
- Strong knowledge of SQL databases including Microsoft SQL Server and Oracle; ability to write efficient queries and manage query performance.
- Hands-on experience with ETL processes using tools like Talend or custom scripting in Python or Bash (Unix shell).
- Familiarity with database design principles and data model design to support scalable analytics solutions.
- Proficiency in R or Python for advanced data analysis; experience with Excel data analysis is highly desirable.
- Understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) within Agile environments for effective project delivery.
- Knowledge of linked data concepts and how they enhance business intelligence capabilities.
- Ability to analyze requirements thoroughly and develop clear documentation using Visio or similar tools.
- Strong analytical skills with a focus on business analysis, requirements gathering, and problem-solving in complex datasets.
