GNA Responsibilities
As a facility staffing GNA, you will provide direct resident care under the supervision of licensed nursing staff.
Duties Include
- Assisting residents with activities of daily living (ADLs)
- Bathing
- Dressing
- Grooming
- Toileting
- Hygiene care
- Assisting with mobility, transfers, and ambulation
- Using gait belts, Hoyer lifts, and transfer equipment safely
- Taking and documenting:
- Vital signs
- Weights
- Resident observations
- Assisting with feeding and hydration
- Monitoring and reporting changes in resident condition
- Maintaining a safe, clean, and respectful environment
- Following infection control and facility safety procedures
QualificationsRequired
- Active Maryland GNA License
- CPR Certification
- High School Diploma or GED
- Minimum 1 year of GNA experience
- Reliable transportation
- Ability to work in fast-paced healthcare environments
Preferred
- Skilled nursing or assisted living experience
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- Compassionate, dependable, and professional attitude
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and assist residents throughout shifts
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs with or without assistance
Shift Availability
- Day Shift: 7:45 AM – 4:15 PM
- Evening Shift: 3:45 PM – 12:15 AM
- Overnight Shift: 12:00 AM – 8:00 AM
