Job Summary
We are seeking an energetic and responsible CDL B Flatbed Truck Driver to join our team. This role involves transporting metal fabrication materials and finished products across various routes, ensuring timely delivery while adhering to safety regulations. Responsibilities
- Operate 20' to 28' long flatbed truck to transport freight efficiently across designated routes
- Load and unload cargo safely using manual handling techniques and equipment such as forklifts when necessary
- Secure loads properly to meet safety standards and prevent damage during transit
- Navigate using GPS systems to ensure timely deliveries while optimizing routes for efficiency
- Comply with FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) regulations, DOT (Department of Transportation) rules, and hazardous materials regulations when applicable
- Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, cargo documentation, and delivery records in accordance with regulatory standards
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and report any issues promptly
Qualifications
- Valid CDL B license with clean driving record
- Proven experience in commercial truck driving, especially with straight flatbed trucks
- Familiarity with refrigerated trailers, tanker trucks, or other specialized equipment is a plus
- Knowledge of FMCSA regulations, hazardous materials handling, and safety protocols for dangerous goods
- Ability to operate manual transmission vehicles confidently
- Strong understanding of route driving, logistics cargo handling, and truck loading/unloading procedures
- Excellent manual handling skills and physical stamina to manage freight loading tasks

Pay: $32.00 - $35.00 per hour
