Florida Perfections SW is a growing Property Management company overseeing a portfolio of 85 vacation homes in the beautiful Cape Coral area. We take pride in offering high-quality accommodations and exceptional service to our guests and homeowners alike. We're currently looking for a reliable, skilled, and detail-oriented Maintenance Technician to join our team.
Position Overview
As our on-the-ground Maintenance Technician, you will play a key role in maintaining the overall condition and functionality of our vacation properties. From basic repairs to light home improvement tasks, your work will ensure our homes meet the highest standards of comfort, safety, and presentation.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform general maintenance and repairs, including:
- Minor plumbing (unclogging drains, replacing faucets, fixing leaks)
- Electrical basics (replacing outlets, light fixtures, ceiling fans)
- Appliance maintenance and light troubleshooting
- Painting, drywall repair, caulking, and touch-ups
- Furniture repair and assembly
- Mounting TVs, installing cabinetry, and other handyman tasks
- Replace broken or worn parts such as toilet lids, gaskets, wax rings, showerheads, sink hoses, and similar items.
- Assist with installations and home improvement projects.
- Maintain and organize storage areas including tools, extra furniture, fans, heaters, and other inventory.
- Work independently to complete jobs efficiently and on schedule.
- Lift and move heavy items when required.
- Communicate clearly with the property management team regarding job status, issues, and recommendations.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in general maintenance, repairs, or handyman services (required).
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- High attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently.
- Must live within 20–30 minutes of Cape Coral.
- Must own a reliable SUV or truck and basic toolset.
- Physically able to lift heavy items and work on your feet for extended periods.
- Must own a smartphone for job tracking and communication.
- Positive attitude and team-oriented mindset.
