Duties
- Prepare and cut meat products with precision using proper knife skills and meat cutting techniques
- Package meats efficiently while maintaining freshness and presentation standards
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the meat department in accordance with food safety regulations
- Assist customers by providing knowledgeable advice on meat selections, cuts, and cooking tips
- Restock displays regularly to ensure product availability and attractive presentation
- Follow all food handling procedures to ensure safety and quality control
- Support food production activities by helping with inventory management and ordering supplies as needed
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food production, food preparation, or kitchen environments is highly desirable
- Strong knife skills and expertise in meat cutting techniques
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures
- Experience working in the food industry or restaurant environment preferred
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, helpful attitude
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks such as lifting heavy boxes or meat cuts
- Culinary experience or kitchen background that demonstrates familiarity with food preparation processes
