Bent’s Opera House | Harvest Restaurant – Medina, NY
Bent’s Opera House is looking for a reliable, hospitality-driven bartender to join our team. This is a key position within our restaurant and event space — perfect for someone who takes pride in their craft, enjoys working independently, and wants to grow creatively behind the bar.
Schedule
- Wednesday–Sunday availability preferred
- Off Mondays & Tuesdays
- Sunday evenings off
Position Overview
This role primarily works solo behind the bar, executing a curated cocktail program built around predetermined recipes. Consistency, cleanliness, and professionalism are essential. As you grow with us, there will be opportunities to develop and feature rotating drink specials.
Responsibilities
- Craft cocktails precisely and consistently from established recipes
- Maintain a clean, organized, and fully stocked bar at all times
- Provide warm, attentive service to bar guests
- Track basic inventory and communicate low-stock items proactively
- Assist in maintaining proper bar pars and ordering needs
Cross-Training Opportunities
This is a dynamic role within a boutique hospitality setting:
- Cross-trained in serving with a small section for additional tip income
- Cross-trained for weddings, galas, and corporate events
- Work event bars or
- Assist with event bar setup and breakdown for a split tip-out
Ideal Candidate
- Experience in bartending (craft cocktail experience preferred)
- Comfortable working independently
- Organized and detail-oriented
- Professional under pressure
- Team player who understands both restaurant and event environments
- Interested in growing creatively within a structured program
