About the project
Amelia is recruiting U.S.-based independent contractors to record first-person video of ordinary household chores. The approved recordings help train robotics and AI systems.
This is flexible, remote contract work completed in your own home. No professional video experience or editing is required.
What you'll do
- Choose an available household task in the Minute recording app, such as cleaning, cooking, organizing, or similar everyday chores.
- Wear a compatible head-mounted phone holder and record the task from a first-person point of view.
- Keep your hands visible, use landscape orientation, and follow the task and quality instructions in the app.
- Let Minute upload the raw recording automatically. Do not edit or combine recordings.
- Aim to complete at least 10 approved recording hours each week.
Requirements
- Currently reside in the United States.
- Own one of Amelia's supported iPhone, Google Pixel, or Samsung Galaxy models. We will confirm the exact model during screening.
- Be comfortable recording ordinary household tasks in a private location where you have permission to film.
- Be able to use a compatible head-mounted phone holder. Approved options generally cost $10–$25; Amelia provides a one-time $15 reimbursement after the first five-hour payout milestone.
- Keep faces and other people out of the recordings.
- Have reliable Wi-Fi for uploads.
- Be able to work independently and follow detailed recording instructions.
Compensation
This is milestone-based independent contractor compensation, not a conventional hourly wage. Only approved recording time counts toward payment.
Monthly payout tiers begin at $40 for five approved hours and increase as additional five-hour milestones are reached, up to $1,000 for 100 approved hours in a calendar month. New contractors may also earn a $50 first-week bonus by reaching 10 approved hours during their first seven days. With that bonus, the first 10 approved hours can pay up to $130, equivalent to up to $13 per approved recording hour.
Hours reset at the beginning of each calendar month. Payment depends on the highest approved milestone reached and compliance with the recording requirements. Onboarding, setup, rejected recordings, and unapproved recording time are not paid.
