Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Roll Off Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely operating roll-off trucks to transport waste and debris from various job sites. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, excellent driving skills, and the ability to perform heavy lifting as needed.
Duties
- Operate roll-off trucks and other heavy vehicles, including dump trucks and flatbeds, in a safe and efficient manner.
- Load and unload materials from the truck using appropriate equipment and techniques.
- Perform routine inspections and maintenance on vehicles to ensure they are in good working condition.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and company policies while driving.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, customers, and team members regarding job status and any issues that arise.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, pickups, and vehicle maintenance logs.
Skills
- Proficient in operating manual transmission vehicles.
- Strong mechanical knowledge related to heavy-duty trucks and equipment.
- Experience with commercial driving, particularly with roll-off trucks and front loader trucks.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting tasks safely and efficiently.
- Familiarity with loading and unloading procedures for various types of materials.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well within a team environment.
- Strong attention to detail, especially regarding safety protocols and vehicle maintenance.
