Position: Nights Lead Project Plumber
Location: Novi, MI
Pay: Starting around $40/hour
Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Nights Lead Project Plumber to oversee commercial and industrial plumbing projects during the overnight shift. This role is responsible for overseeing the field crew, coordinating work activities, ensuring quality craftsmanship, and maintaining project schedules while upholding the highest standards of safety and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead plumbing crews on commercial and industrial construction projects.
- Coordinate work assignments and ensure project milestones are achieved.
- Read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and construction drawings.
- Install, inspect, troubleshoot, and repair plumbing systems including domestic water, sanitary, storm, and gas piping.
- Ensure all work complies with local, state, and federal plumbing codes.
- Conduct quality inspections and address installation issues promptly.
- Coordinate with the company’s internal team to maintain workflow.
- Train, mentor, and develop apprentice and journeyman plumbers.
- Maintain accurate daily reports, timekeeping, and material usage records.
- Enforce OSHA regulations and company safety policies while promoting a safety-first culture.
- Manage tools, equipment, and jobsite materials to maximize efficiency.
Qualifications
- Journeyman or Master Plumber license preferred.
- Minimum of 5+ years of commercial or industrial plumbing experience.
- Previous experience leading crews or serving as a foreman or lead plumber.
- Strong understanding of commercial plumbing systems and applicable building codes.
- Ability to read blueprints, shop drawings, and project specifications.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
