LowKey Speech Teletherapy is seeking a Mild/Moderate Special Education Teacher to serve a Grades 5–8 self-contained Behavioral Intervention Classroom (BIC) in partnership with Mariposa County.
Position Highlights
- Self-contained classroom serving students in Grades 5–8
- Students qualify under Emotional Disability (ED)
- Small caseload – currently 2 students enrolled, with the district striving to keep enrollment at or below 10 students whenever possible
- Supported by 2 full-time instructional aides
- Collaborative school team committed to student success
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement individualized instruction aligned with IEP goals.
- Foster a structured, supportive classroom environment that promotes positive behavioral and academic outcomes.
- Collaborate with families, related service providers, administrators, and support staff.
- Maintain compliance with special education documentation and IEP requirements.
- Utilize evidence-based behavioral and instructional strategies to support student growth.
Qualifications
- Valid California Education Specialist Mild/Moderate Teaching Credential
- Experience working with students with emotional and behavioral needs preferred
- Strong classroom management and collaboration skills
- Commitment to creating a positive, student-centered learning environment
