Job Summary:
Laundry Attendants working the evening/night shift are responsible for providing excellent customer service, maintaining a clean and safe laundromat environment, processing wash‑dry‑fold orders, and ensuring smooth operations through closing at 2:00 AM. This role requires strong attention to detail, consistent situational awareness, and the ability to remain alert and engaged throughout the entire shift.
Shift Details
- Thursday, Friday, Saturday
- 6:00 PM – 2:00 AM
- Late‑night differential applies for hours worked between 10:00 PM–2:00 AM.
- Final wash cutoff is 12:45 AM. Attendants may leave earlier once all closing duties are completed and no customers remain in the store.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet and assist customers with washers, dryers, and payment systems.
- Maintain a clean and orderly laundromat throughout the shift, including:
- Sweeping and mopping the entire store before closing.
- Wiping down machines, counters, folding tables, and high‑touch surfaces.
- Emptying trash and keeping the facility tidy.
- Process wash‑and‑fold orders: sorting, washing, drying, folding, and packaging according to approved procedures.
- Accept cash/credit payments via POS system and follow proper cash‑handling protocols.
- Monitor equipment, identify irregularities, and report issues to the manager promptly.
- Restock detergents, softeners, and other laundry products.
- Enforce laundromat rules, proper machine use, and safety procedures.
- Maintain situational awareness and remain attentive during late‑night hours to ensure a safe, welcoming environment for customers.
- Complete all closing duties and secure the store at 2:00 AM.
Qualifications:
- Consistent Thursday–Saturday late‑night availability (6:00 PM–2:00 AM) required.
- Reliable transportation required for late‑night closing shifts (2:00 AM).
- Ability to stay alert, focused, and safety‑minded throughout the entire shift.
- Previous customer service experience required.
- Experience in laundry services, POS systems, or cash handling preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast‑paced environment.
- Friendly, professional attitude with excellent communication skills.
- Ability to lift and move laundry bags; repetitive bending and lifting required.
- Comfortable working independently or with minimal supervision during late hours.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $15.50 - $16.50 per hour
