Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Industrial Refrigeration Project Manager/Engineer to lead and coordinate complex refrigeration projects within the industrial sector. Responsibilities
- Lead the planning, execution, and completion of industrial refrigeration projects from inception through commissioning, ensuring adherence to project timelines, budgets, and specifications.
- Develop detailed construction schedules using Primavera P6 and manage project timelines to coordinate multiple teams and subcontractors effectively.
- Oversee construction estimating processes utilizing HeavyBid and other construction management software to prepare accurate cost projections and budgets.
- Manage project teams by assigning tasks, monitoring progress, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations and industry standards.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings related to refrigeration systems, ensuring precise implementation of design specifications.
- Coordinate with clients, engineers, contractors, and vendors to facilitate seamless communication across all project phases.
- Ensure construction regulatory compliance by maintaining proper documentation, permits, and adherence to local codes and standards.
- Track project costs meticulously through cost management practices while managing contracts and procurement processes.
- Conduct site inspections to verify quality control measures are followed during installation and commissioning phases.
- Utilize construction scheduling tools for ongoing project coordination, risk mitigation, and progress reporting.
Requirements
- Proven experience managing complex infrastructure projects within the industrial refrigeration or related construction sectors.
- Strong knowledge of construction scheduling software such as Primavera P6; experience with Schematics, Civil 3D is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with construction estimating tools like HeavyBid; experience with project management software is essential.
- Demonstrated ability in managing teams in a construction management role with excellent time management skills.
- Extensive construction site experience including blueprint reading, schematics interpretation, and understanding of heavy equipment operations.
- Knowledge of construction regulatory compliance standards relevant to industrial refrigeration projects.
- Proficiency in cost management practices including budgeting, contract administration, and procurement processes.
- Excellent communication skills for effective project coordination among diverse stakeholders.
- Technical expertise in refrigeration systems design, installation practices, and schematic interpretation is preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering or related field; professional certifications such as PMP or equivalent are a plus.
