Duties
- Perform comprehensive cleaning duties across classrooms, hallways, restrooms, cafeterias, gyms, and other school areas to uphold high standards of hygiene and safety
- Conduct routine floor care including sweeping, mopping, buffing, stripping, waxing, and carpet cleaning to maintain pristine surfaces
- Handle custodial responsibilities such as trash removal, restocking supplies, and disinfecting high-touch areas to prevent the spread of germs
- Assist with minor facilities maintenance tasks like changing light bulbs, repairing fixtures, and performing basic repairs to ensure operational efficiency
- Support industrial cleaning projects when necessary, including deep cleaning of large spaces or specialized equipment
- Maintain cleanliness logs and report any facility issues or safety hazards promptly for swift resolution
- Collaborate with school staff to coordinate cleaning schedules around daily activities and special events
Requirements
- Proven experience in cleaning, janitorial work, or custodial services within commercial or residential settings
- Knowledge of floor care techniques including buffing, stripping, waxing, and carpet cleaning
- Familiarity with industrial cleaning methods and facilities maintenance practices
- Ability to operate cleaning equipment such as buffers, extractors, vacuums, and pressure washers safely and effectively
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining a safe and sanitary environment
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks efficiently
- Physical stamina to perform manual labor including lifting heavy objects, standing for extended periods, bending, and climbing ladders
- Bolier Tech License is preferred
