SHIFT HOURS ARE 2:30 PM - 11:00PM Weekends Required
Township Building Services is seeking a skilled and reliable Janitor/Cleaner to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in janitorial cleaning, general cleaning duties, and basic knowledge of cleaning techniques and equipment. This position involves cleaning restrooms,common areas,food areas,and play areas , vacant suites, and occasional construction cleanup projects as necessary. Responsibilities:
- Perform general janitorial duties, including cleaning and maintaining assigned areas
- Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors
- Empty trash receptacles and replace liners
- Clean and sanitize restrooms, including toilets, sinks, and mirrors
- Dust and wipe down surfaces, including desks, tables, and countertops
- Restock supplies in restrooms and other areas as needed
- Follow proper cleaning procedures to ensure a safe and sanitary environment
- Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as changing light bulbs or fixing minor repairs
- Adhere to all safety guidelines and regulations
-Pressure washing entry ways weekly
Skills:
- Experience in facilities maintenance or janitorial work preferred
- Knowledge of proper cleaning techniques and use of cleaning equipment
- Ability to maintain cleanliness and organization in assigned areas
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
- Knowledge of commercial cleaning products and their appropriate usage
- Familiarity with floor care techniques, such as buffing or waxing, is a plus
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Physical stamina to perform tasks that may require lifting or carrying heavy objects
-Experience using a pressure washer
