Controller - Construction - Boston
Greater Boston commercial construction firm is seeking a Controller to support a high-growth market. This is a highly visible leadership role overseeing month-end close, financial reporting, forecasting, internal controls, and project financial operations for a large regional business unit. The position will manage a team of 4-6 accounting professionals and partner closely with operational leadership across the business.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee financial reporting, forecasting, budgeting, and month-end close
- Ensure strong internal controls, compliance, and balance sheet integrity
- Manage project forecasting, billing, AR performance, and capital expenditures
- Support operational leadership with financial analysis and risk identification
- Lead administrative and office operations for the region
- Coach and develop team members while fostering a collaborative culture
Qualifications:
- 8-10+ years of accounting experience, construction industry experience required
- Open to public accounting candidates with strong construction clients
- Proven leadership abilities
- Ability to thrive in a collaborative, blue-collar, team-oriented culture
The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader who understands the local construction market. The approximate salary range for this position is between $175K-$200K. This role is onsite 5 days per week.

Pay: $175,000.00 - $200,000.00 per year
