Industry leading manufacturing company in the Tulsa, OK area is seeking a Director of FP&A that will serve as a strategic financial partner to the executive leadership team and operations heads, driving financial planning, analysis, and operational insights across our multi-site manufacturing footprint. This role is responsible for leading the annual budgeting process, rolling forecasts, and capital allocation strategies, while implementing standardized financial metrics across all plant locations. The ideal candidate will blend deep manufacturing finance expertise (including cost accounting, variance analysis, and operational KPIs) with advanced financial modeling skills to translate complex data into actionable strategies that drive profitability and margin expansion.
Strategic Planning & Forecasting: Lead the corporate-wide consolidated annual budgeting, monthly rolling forecasting, and long-range planning processes for all manufacturing facilities and corporate overhead.
Multi-Site Operational Analysis: Partner closely with Plant Managers and Directors of Operations to evaluate plant-level P&Ls, labor efficiencies, overhead absorption, material variance, and capacity utilization.
Margin & Cost Optimization: Conduct deep-dive analyses on product margins, standard costing variances (PPV, labor, efficiency), and inventory valuations to identify cost-saving opportunities and supply chain efficiencies.
Capital Allocation & ROI: Manage the Capital Expenditure (CapEx) planning process, building robust ROI/IRR financial models to justify capital projects, plant expansions, automation investments, and footprint optimizations.
Standardized Reporting & KPIs: Design, implement, and maintain standardized financial dashboards and operational KPIs across all sites to ensure consistent performance benchmarking and corporate visibility.
Executive & Board Communication: Synthesize complex financial data into concise, high-impact presentations and commentary for executive leadership, the Board of Directors, and private equity/banking partners.
Team Leadership & Systems: Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of FP&A professionals. Drive the optimization of BI tools, ERP modules, and EPM software (e.g., OneStream, Anaplan, Hyperion) to automate data extraction and reporting.
Experience: 8 to 12 years of progressive corporate finance and FP&A experience, with at least 4 years in a leadership role within a multi-site manufacturing or industrial environment.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field. An MBA, CFA, or CMA designation is highly preferred.
Manufacturing Finance Expertise: Robust understanding of standard costing systems, inventory accounting, Bill of Materials (BOM) analysis, and operational manufacturing metrics.
Technical Systems Mastery: Advanced proficiency in financial modeling (Excel) and deep experience utilizing Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite) alongside Enterprise Performance Management (EPM) software and BI tools (Power BI, Tableau).
Leadership & Communication: Proven track record of building and managing remote or cross-functional finance teams. Strong executive presence with the ability to influence operational leaders and communicate effectively with C-suite executives.
